Slot Antenna For Dual Band Wireless Application With Interdigital Feed Line

Abstract


In this article, Slot antenna for Dual band wireless application with Interdigital feed line has been presented. Metamaterial is an artificial  structure with negative µ and ε and has been used for improve some properties in antenna. Series capacitor in miniaturization with metamaterial, which is known as left-handed capacitors gap and Interdigital capacitance are two famous model for series capacitance .Prototype antenna has  dual band structure for wireless application at 2.5-3.5 GHz and 5.4-5.8 GHz  with return loss less than -10 dB. Here shows the effect of Interdigital on improve antenna band width and its effect on antenna Q factor .The equivalent circuit of antenna has been presented. The antennas are simulated in HFSS 11 for FEM simulation. The antenna is printed on a FR-4 low cost substrate with relative permittivity of 4.4 and thickness of 1.6 mm. Total size of the antenna is 50mm×50mm.
